New brake pads

I just had my 40k sevice done and my front and rear brake pads need replacing. Porsche Reading is quoting about £1500 so I thought I'd give my local Kwik Fit a call for a comparison. They are quoting £220 for the lot.

How much go you guys spend on brake pad replacements?

Will your Kwik Fit guys use genuine Porsche parts? If not, it may be worth spending extra and supplying your own parts (which I guess you can order through Reading), or book it into Camtune or the like who would fit original parts and charge you about half the OPC costs (still 3 times the Kwik Fit bill....).

Steve dont forget to try the Toureg route and also that guy in Germany that was mentioned recently re wiper blades

Wow. That's high. I have just had my V6 serviced (40K) and had the disks and pads changed along with wiper blades(£50) and 3 bulbs at about £30 each. Total was just under £1900.00. I thought that was a lot. I suggest you shop around.

There must be more included in that quote than pads!!???????[&:]Must be for some discs awell!!??
