Very nice Derek.
What exhaust is that? It looks different to the one i have seen on models in the OPC. Is it the infamous sports exhaust everyone is waiting for?
I'm so very closed to changing - just waiting on a price for mine from the OPC. I was looking at ex demonstrators and second hand but the deals on new at the moment are fantastic!

Yup it is the famous PSE. I quite like it. I also have a plethora of other extras including a heated steering wheel, sport chrono +, PDK, cruise, USB, Bluetooth, heated seats, park assist, yellow belts and stitching, sports seats, TPM and leather surround to the gear stick. You can also see that it is in Aqua, with side strips, a 911 badge on the rear and Carrera Sport wheels. Now what have I forgotten?

Derek

Very nice - like the graphics on the blue colour[:)]

Much nicer than the bling machine the OPC lent you for the Isle of Man trip[;)]

Was the sports exhaust worth the wait? I am assuming it was[:D]

No ceramic brakes?

Nice one Derek

Glad to see you have kept with aqua blue. Also that you have succumbed to the increased power of the S. Do you think the sprts exhaust is worth the extra that I would have to pay - I think about 2.5K for my S ?

Well I have not driven the car much yet as I only collected it yesterday. The exhaust sounds much better than the PSE I had fitted to the Cayman S, but it would, wouldn't it? As for whether it is worth ÂŁ1404, I'm not sure. The jury is out on that one at present. I suppose it all depends on how much ÂŁ1404 is worth to you. Personally, I would not pay ÂŁ2.5K for an upgrade.

youre getting a bit predictable in your colour choice derek[:D]

looks FAB !!!!

are you going to be buried in this one??[:D]

or do I hear a change coming soon.......?

Derek

So whats the difference, if any, between the C2S and C2 apart from the squealing brakes?[:D]

Well I cannot truly answer that question fully, not just yet, but I may consider writing an article for PP. Personally at present I still would prefer the C2. Am I mad?

Well, already I can see that the S uses more petrol, costs more to purchase and the road fund licence is almost double. Yes, I know that the C2S's performance is slightly better, but it was more than adequate on the C2. I suppose it may come down to what the Duchess of Windsor once said: "You can never be too rich or your Porsche have too much performance" [:D]

However all that said, I love the car and when I apply the brakes, all I can hear is the birds singing [:)] Moreover, changing vehicles did give me the opportunity to add a shed load of things to the original specification ie PSE and Sport Chrono +

Items a and c seem somewhat irrelevant after item b! Lovely car, Derek, still prefer the coupe though[;)]

my "teacher"at silverstone (colin)on wednesday made the same point-if anyone with a new porsche really thinks fuel consumption is important,he(or she!)is only kidding themselves!![:D]

I'm amazed that my C2S has averaged nearly 28mpg since new, over 4k miles, nearly all 'making progress' as the IAM call it. Is the C2 that much more economical?

Despite the performance enhancements I'll get around 30mpg on a long motorway run.

Fuel consumption is now however trully pants in stop start traffic
