New C4S and a Question

After 10 years of BMW ownership (M3's, 4.8 X5, 540 and M5) I decided that the time had come for a change. The M5 was a great car and the first to have survived my normal 18 month boredom threshold but despite being mind numbingly fast, it was somehow uninvolving, akin to playing GT on the Playstation. Having bought the wife a Boxster 12 months ago and enjoying that I have plumped for a C4S in Slate Grey with Tan Bi-Colour interior plus all the usual goodies (Nav, Bose, Sport Exhaust, Short Shift) plus some extra leather and Carbon fibre trimming.

Two weeks in I am beginning to get used to the polar difference from the M5. Its my first manual box for probably 6 years so that is a bit of a learn curve again plus it has torque in spades that the M5 was missing so is a very different driving style.

Below the two together after a washing session (we live at the end of a muddy lane so neither will stay like that long)

And another of the C4S

Rather annoyingly I hit a pheasant on the way to work yesterday morning which smashed the number plate and left a small but obvious gouge in the bumper. Given the noise it made I was expecting much worse. Then on the way to get a new number plate I picked up a windscreen chip! Not a good day.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the repair of such paint damage? It is about 1" long and made a small indent into the plastic of the bumper.

Chris,
Fantastic car, great colour!! If you get fed up with it after your usual 18 months, let me know..........if it's got elecric memory seats I'll buy it off you, dents and all!
Enjoy it! (the pheasant I mean!)

Firstly welcome along.[:D]

Sorry to hear the bad news on the Pheasant !
I'd check your local dent devil type people or touch up specialist, they can remove/repair these smaller problems leaving no trace...
I had one done on the last motor, couldn't find the mark after 10 minutes work.. [8D]

Nice little Porsche collection you have there; if only I could convince my wife to have a Porsche too!

Beautiful 997 Chris; Slate is a lovely colour.....similar thing happened to me with a nasty scratch a few days after I collected my car - got it fixed at local independent who did a great job for £100 cash. If you are anywhere near Swindon I can recommend him!
