Already been thinking about that, will be getting a Clubsport steering wheel next week.

Cup wheels to follow at a later date.

Congratulations .... great looking 964 [;)] mrpoz. Looks in lovely condition .... well care for by previous owners.
Agree with Stewart regarding the alternator housing. It's an easy diy job and makes a huge difference to the look of the engine bay.

Whats the history, mileage, owners etc ?

  • Only 3 owners - 1 of which only had the car a couple of months as he was too 'large' to fit in it
  • 125k miles with full & comprehensive service history
  • No documented engine rebuild but been to my local specialist today and he said there is no way it could be so dry with no leaks what so ever without having some sort of top end rebuild.
  • MOT certs back as far as 1998 and a fat wedge of bills for previous servicing and maintenance
  • Service and brake refurb (calipers & hoses, new discs and pads) all less than 500 miles ago
  • Recent tyres all round
  • Repainted 2 years ago to a high standard
With reference to the rebuild, maybe the engine is just a well looked after example or I was lucky to find a non-leaking 964, the specialist could definately be right but I would think the reciept would be in with the others.

Looks in beautiful condition. Nice and straight paint. Wheels look a bit 'how's-your-father' though imo.
I agree that cup 1 look soooooooooo good on 964s.
How about some teardrop mirrors?

Hi. You mention the alternator housing, is this a refurbish job or a replacement ?

There's no need to replace if it's not damaged. I refurbished mine, did the prep and sprayed with high temp paint and it comes up like new !!

Re. the alternator housing - a couple of hours with a rag and some Solvol Autosol metal polish will make it look a lot better.

Very very nice, just what I'm looking for (see http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=358802)

If I can be so rude.......how much did you pay?

Andrew

Im afraid I couldnt possibly tell you how much I paid but the good news for you is EVERYTHING has its price.

pm or email me if you would like to discuss further.

Very nice indeed! Similar to my one and with the same wheels! Out of interest do you know what Porsche model these wheels were originally from as I don't think they are for a 964 and I am thinking of changing mine to some Cup 1's.

Thanks,
Steve.

I have been told they are off a 996 and were only available for about a year of production, not sure what year but think someone mentioned around 1998.

I wouldnt say they are the best wheel ever but mine are mint so they look fine for now.
