New car stereo

Went to Halfords today and treated myself to a new car stereo so that I could plug my ipod into the front of the stereo rather than my current setup of ipod lighter socket holder system.
Am I right in thinking that the ipod wont charge up while it plays through the stereo and if so any ideas please.

Depends on the cable type. If cable is a simple "replace the headset" jack type, then no, it will not charge the iPod. If cable is iPod specific and plugs into the wide multi-pin socket at the bottom of the iPod then it will charge it (well, mine does).

Mine is the jack plug type so by the looks of it I need to get another lead for charging [8|]
