New car (warning: non-Porsche content!)

Apologies for the non-Porsche content, but I was asked by a couple of members to post a photo of my build project once the car was complete. It's a Spire GT-3, an RGB class race car, and the paint colours are inspired by Porsche RS cars. The Bright Orange is from the Gen 1 GT3RS and the Grey/Black is from the Gen 2 GT3RS (thank you Geoff for providing such a wonderful example of that car!)

The Grey/Black especially is difficult to photograph in the winter daylight, but looks great 'in the flesh'

If anyone's interested in the 'nuts and bolts' bits, the build blog can be found here: http://spiregt3.blogspot.co.uk/

Excellent John, well done.

Congratulations on its completion. have you put it through its paces yet? [8|]

Regards,

Clive.

Thanks, Clive, not yet - just picked up from paint this week and the track/test day schedule is pretty much over for this year. I'll take it out early in next year's season for testing and also plan on several track days before the race season starts.

All the best, John

John

It looks a bit different from the last time i saw it !

It really is something to be proud of, you have done a fantastic job.

How does the saying go "Anyone can drive a fast car but not many can drive a car fast " or was it "If in doubt flat out"

Anyway John all you have to do is keep off the brakes which should not be a problem for you !!

Bye the way glad to help with the colour scheme and it does look the "Dogs"

Let us all know when you start racing and we will come and cheer you on, Caroline thinks you could be the next Mark Webber.

Fantastic.

Just spent an hour going through your build detail and can say with certainty you are a better man than me.

To build the Spire would be a step too far for me if I had an instruction manual never mind without one.

Well done very impressed.

Geoff

By the way on my previous I can spell BY (not BYE) not sure how that happened.

That looks fantastic John, congratulations on completion, I was really impressed by your garage, and the fact you'd put this together so beautifully. Especially, if you're to be believed, as a first timer. I'm sure you'll be competitive next season.

Looks fantastic!
Like everyone else, I look forward to seeing it in action ( but I guess not at the Xmas dinner meeting! )
Does it have cup holders for your garage intercom?
Best wishes,
Andy

Well done John. For me the highlight of your build blog was seeing your face when you started the engine for the first time. A real picture. I hope you have lots of fun in the new car and get on the podium in the first season
