Just picked my new car up 87 turbo a little rough round the edges but nothing that cannot be improved upon. It has the following

recent Water Pump and Belts and TensionersRecent Koni Adjustable Sport Shocks all roundRoll Centre UK Rear Roll Bar fitted by Fusion MotorsportEmerald K3 ECU running everything including boost control, MAP Sensor etc. There is a high and low boost button in the car as I was using her to commute. Also possible to have three utterly seperate maps on a dial switch which is installed although the maps aren't set
Drives and handles very well have some vibration when pulling away and at 60 ish guessing could be the engine mounts.
Love it
Dave

Wheres your head in relation to the cage and in particular, the lugs for the front section? Id like to see a lot more pictures, please.

Congratulations Some interesting features, wonder is it early enough to have the forged rods, It will be a M44/51 engine, I think it could have 'em. Is there an AFR gauge to confirm those maps are safe? Nice stance too. good luck with it George 944t

simon i will take some photos, if you send me a email to lacedr@talktalk.net i will email you some it sits more over the rear seats. George, yes there is. the maps have yet to be set up,there is a rolling road near to me, i guess i will be paying them a visit fairly soon. cheers Dave

cheers Andy yes indeed, couldn't help myself. had nice drive back so much so that i missed the m25 and had to contend with lots of traffic and to fight my way back out, doh. not as clean as my lux by a long way but its got potential. only thing was as i was sitting in traffic and some more traffic the voltmeter kept going down and down. i was getting rather concerned and turned all of the electrics off,got home ok,grabbed the voltmeter pulled back the carpet, shock horror the battery was held in place with a load of wadding because the battery is the size of a postage stamp. probably of a putch maxi lol but it was fully charged. so i think a new one will be the order of the day.

If mine is anything go by, the battery is the cheapest thing to change on a turbo, bar the wiper blades! Enjoy.

Looks great mate - even needing a little bit of tidying that was a bit of a bargain. If I was still looking that one would have been a no brainer. Look forward to seeing some pics once you've tidied her up a little.

i shall be doing a few before and after shots, just trying to arrange a rolling road to set the maps up. i do have the software and the laptop but dont really know what i am doing so beast left to the experts! it looks better in the pictures ! lots to do but lots of fun! Dave

Simon - the cage looks very similar to my 1/2 cage. Mine mounts to the B & C pillar and the outer rear lap belt holes; so 6 points of contact - all reinforced belt mounts. The main hoop bar is approximately 3 or 4 inches behind my seat.

that does sound like mine its bolted and welded.will take some photos the weekend. i shall be doing a few before and after shots, just trying to arrange a rolling road to set the maps up. i do have the software and the laptop but dont really know what i am doing so beast left to the experts!

Thanks Dave. Its a Rollcentre Racing rear section. I have recommended these to a few people who have wanted a rear-only because theyll make it without the front section lugs. I was curious to see how close they were to the drivers head if an unaltered part was used.

http://www.safetydevices.com/motorsport/products/roll-cage/Porsche+968+-1992-1995/800/ This is how mine fits. Its too close for comfort as you can see so I was also curious to see whether the RR offering is better in the respect. The front feet mount on the floor rather than the sills which is rubbish, but SDs newer bolt in 944/968 cage does that now. too...
