New Car

I finally became the owner of a stunning C2s (1st photo attached) on Friday. I found the whole experience of doing a private deal for such a large some of money quite stressful, but in the end it has been worth it. I mentioned previously that I was torn between a newer more modern 996 and the 993. Not anymore I'm absolutely over the moon with my purchase. Even the interior has grown on me in just a few days and wouldn't want it any other way. Apart from the cars looks, the roar from the engine is what tickles me. The car came with a Sony CD 10 stack system, I'm not sure even if it works and I don't really care, just listening to the engine purr is music to my ears!

It's got the colour coded Vesuvious wheels hasn't it? You didn't buy it from a East Midlands (R8) member did you?

Ian.

Looks very very nice in that colour, not helping me wait for my car next week [8D]

I've also got a multi changer but with that engine note Im not to bothered for a while if it doesnt work

looks fabulous, as they all do!!!!

after viewing photo 2 it looks like the standard exhaust that is fitted, try a good after market system preferably with free flow cats, then you will really hear the engine roar....[;)]

Awesome machine, Richard!

Congratulations. You won't regret it, I'm sure.

There's not much that beats the sound of that air-cooled marvel in the back... maybe the F16's afterburner comes sort of close but that's not so much fun on the road [:D]

Possibly, was from around that area, why you're not going to give me bad news about the car are you?

Richard

"Lovely looking car, did it come with the p-plate?"
It did. Was planning to get a p-plate in any case, and the letters match the family initials, so it saved a few pennies.

WOW IT LOOKS THE DOGS DANGLEY BITS! BET YOU OUT THERE POLISHING IT ALL THE TIME?
GOOD LUCK WITH IT & KEEP THE SHINEEEEEEEE SIDE UP !!!!!!!!!!

No bad news that I know of.

It looks very familiar, especially the colour coded Vesuvious wheels. The owner used to bring it to the R8 meetings regularly but I haven't seen it there recently and I think it was up for sale.

From memory the colour coded wheels were standard on the Vesuvious 2S and I have to say they really set off the car when you see it in the flesh.

It probably is the same car. It does have the colour coded wheels. I've been told that the Vesuvious C2s came as a "package" with colour coded wheels etc and is a special edition car (similar to the millennium edition 996) but it was never advertised as a special edition by Porsche. If anyone has any info on this or on how I could find out if the car was a special edition I would really appreciate it.

Richard
