New Cayenne: satnav and DAB questions

I'm looking at buying a new Cayenne but understand that the Porsche satnav still doesn't recognise full UK postcodes (same problem I remember from the 997 I had 7 years ago). How do owners feel about this and how do you use the system to get close to an address? I assume it will accept streets and perhaps house numbers?

Secondly, no DAB! Not the end of the world but I wondered if anyone knew of a possible retrofit that may be on the horizon.

Hi,

True PCM does not allow full postcode. That is a pain as a simple Tom Tom will do that. Some house numbers are also not in the database!

Hello,

If you specify the TV tuner you can get digital radio that way, not sure if it works while moving though as I have not tried it yet!

Thanks for your replies Derek and BJ:

Derek: Would you happen to know if the part-postcode brings up a list of streets and road numbers to choose from within the selected locality?

BJ: Is the Digital Radio available via the TV the same as DAB? Common sense says yes!

I'm going to the Porsche Experience Centre next Wednesday to try the Cayenne so all may be revealed then!

I feel I'm coming back to Porsche and need to rejoin the Club! Thanks again.
