New Cayman R owner

Hello all
Now the proud owner of a black, manual R with bucket seats
My wife and I also have a 2005 Boxter S that we have owned since 2007
I am trying to understand how this forum works so excuse any mistakes
I have a technical question
What tyre pressures for track days?

I run 31/32 hot But as always tyre and geo and how one drives plays a big part in pressures. Michelin state don't take the cup 2 below 29psi it just won't work and kill it. I have a pryo now as pressures were doing my head in so invested in one to see what was going on. On a oem geo you are pretty much screwed the outters will burn up and depending what tyres you have you could kill a set in 4 or 5 laps But they will go off in 2. ESP the p zero which I think are nasty things. Get the car geo at least and put neg -1.2 on up front this needs no extra work or filing of bits and will also work far better on the road. Also Don,t let pressure out your tyres befor you go out, do 3 laps come on let pressure out, do this again let pressure out. Running a low pressure tyre will again kill it. IMO 28 is way to low hot, but a pyro will tell you this. But so do Michelin. For track the car really needs neg 2.5 but that's a pain for road use and wet use. Neg -1.8 will give you an all round set up which is not to crazy in the wet but will need parts. I run neg 1.2 for my road only car and neg 2 for my Spyder. Also 7mm spacers front only help turn in to give you 14mm wider front track Enjoy :)

You need to upload it to a photo hosting site and then copy and paste the link into the message. email it to me or send via facebook and I'll upload it for you. Like these wheel spacers MrDemon uses to get his camber [:D][:D][:D]
