What a great day, Paul from GT Classics delivered the car this morning. Have only been for a quick squirt in as yet, but one hell of a motor.
To H___ and Sapex666 who correctly guessed the car I was buying from my M003 Cage Post, well done on the detective work.
I will post some pics when I get round to it at the weekend.[:)]

congratulations - we need to see some more pictures!!! The seemed like a really good deal. Thats quite a collection of porsches you have now!!!

Simon

Looking forward to seeing some pics. So which one are you taking to the Ring at the end of May? Still up for convoy with standard lightweight?!

Well done a true FiA Werkes Racer N-GT ..... these cars will only go up and up and dare I say will be more sought after than a M001 .... M003 FOR ME!

Tim,

It has to be the Clubbie, in its history it finished the Nurburgring 24 Endurance race in 3rd position, only because the weather and the number of retirements. I can confirm that this Ring outing will be a damn site slower no doubt with regular indicator use to allow the guys through. However nice to take it back its stomping ground!
By the way I still want another Px lap with you in May, and def up for convoy to the Tunnel

You dont happen to have the result sheet for Nurburgring 24 Endurance race do you? Or know where I can get it? I know my car was in this race in 93/4, but cant find a finishers list......

would be good to trace some history

Simon

Great news. I hope the clubbie enjoys the reminiscing too.[;)]

You're defo on the list for a Pax lap and nearer the time we'll talk about meeting venue for drive to tunnel.

I will look through all the paperwork at the weekend, I don't recall seeing any lists, and most of the paperwork is in German, so will take a while to decipher.
Anyone got an Enigma machine? Paxman???

Thanks, I had been hunting for this on-line without success so far, not given up though....

If the mint green car raced at the 1993 24Hr then this may be of interest...

Thanks, I'll take a look, it looks like it would be worth finding out! My german is challenge - i.e. none existant. Will check with a translator page (banned at work) later.

Thought I would resurect this thread. I think I 've finally managed to navigate EBAY and order the programme. (fingers crossed!), many thanks RSGulp. I've also unearthed this thread. http://forums.autosport.com/showthread.php?postid=888494 Which suggests that the mint green car finished 10th, and I assume Barry, your car is the Eickwinkel/Wolf/Ahrabian/Werner one?

Of course the results are copied from somewhere else, and I dont have anything on paper to link my car to that drive yet. Only Thomas's word....still looking....

Barry, yes I have a looked at that, there is one shot with a green 964 in it, but its very unclear and I'm not sure, it is really mint green. Cant make a enough out on the detail to associate with drivers either. The search continues.

So my lack of german has not prevented me from getting this item. But the entry list is very odd, it doesnt seem to have any porsches in it. Has entry lists on the carrera cup races though that happened the same weekend. Not quite sure why its missing, I can seem to find the other porsches linked from the results above either?
