New Clutch, Old Judder!

Just had the clutch replaced on my S2 (along with the shift U/J's, shift now looooovley!). However there is still some of the take-up judder that I experienced with the old unit. It's not terrible but certaintly noticable. I've not driven any other cars so I don't know if this is a usual thing. Any ideas (PLEASE don't say engine mounts!!).

Cheers

GEAR BOX MOUNT , that was only one of the faults ,the other was the prop shaft was slightly loose on the fixing flange inside the tube and I mean only slightly loose , when both were done its now perfect.

Did you have the flywheel skimmed at the same time as the clutch replacement.????
If not, it could be that you Flywheel is "out"...It doesnt need to be much to cause judder...I had a similar challenge on my S2, the skimming did the job...

Nope, didn't have the flywheel skimmed. I had the clutch fitted by Autofarm in Oxfordshire and I would hope that they would have identified any other problems when they were doing the job...
As I say, the judder is not too bad (about '3' on a scale of 1 to 10). Hmmm... Just have to live with it I suppose.
BTW, the reason for having the clutch replaced was that the rubber doughnut had disintergated and pieces of it were jamming between the drive and pressure plate stopping the clutch from fully disengaging.

Cheers

Andy
