NEW COLOURS !

Ahhhh, do you mean the new forum colours? Me being an idiot I thought you were talking about the cars....[&o] If so, I had several people say they couldn't easily spot or read links in posts with the old light beige colour that was automatic for all links. Anthony's changed it to a bright blue, so now small-font links in posts can be a bit more prominent. I think it makes the main pages far more bold and readable, but any comments welcome. And pictures of cats. [:D][:D]

Im only joking Paul. I do realise that fiddling with obscure forum software can be trying. Hopefully we'll end up with a colour combination thats easy on the eye; but that shows up hot-links clearly...

...waiting.

Blue is one of the worst colours for good clear display of text. The eye has a problem focusing on blue, that horrible feeling about it is called halation. http://www.laurenscharff.com/research/AHNCUR.html Pick a different colour please guys.

I don't like it at all. It is very unpleasant on the eye. I hope they change it back or make it less bright or I'm off. [;)]

True, but it does seem to be the "international standard for hyperlinks". The trouble is, all the usernames, thread titles etc are also hyperlinks... How come they changed if it was only supposed to be the links in messages?

Hope the text is returned to Black as soon as possible, its not nice and we all know that black is best[:D][:D] the blue would be good just for the links.

But it was just the links in posts... Now EVERYTHING is blue. I think Anthony's gone a bit overboard and changed them all.

Can you do them separately? I tend to agree, small links are better but main pages in larger font are a bit bold. I guess it's all or nothing. See other thread, but I think there's a consensus here so no need to continue the conversation! [:D][:D]

Call me a luddite but I don't think there was anything wrong before Whereas now we all need sunglasses

Just a few people mentioning that they'd missed links in posts because the colour was feint when in small type. Most posters seem to change it manually, for that reason. Never mind, when Anthony's back on he can change it back to beige. [:)]

Hmmm.. were they not different colours before????? if so I guess the answer is yes...
No, it was the same colour. It just looked a lot more readable in large bold type, like the forum main pages, than in small in-post type.
