New Diesel Engine

Porsche put out a press release in France on the 19 Apl
re New Gen 2 Diesel for the Cayenne and Panemera .
I assume the same has been published in the UK/USA

The UK yes, however Porsche has yet to release the Diesel in the US.

Two likely reasons, petrol is so cheap and the 'Oil Lobby' portrays 'Diesel' as dirty and should only be for trucks. Porsche are not alone in the lack of diesel engined US models.

I personally hate diesel but it's hard to argue with the hugely better MPG - even against petrol hybrids! So much so I'm thinking about chopping in my RS6 for a Cayenne Diesel...

Well i have heard talk of the EU changing it's attitude towards Diesel
after 2013 apparently CO2 has the heat taken off and the big bad
wolf will be particulates .Nothing to do with the more fuel we use the
more tax they grab of course !.
