New Door

Ok, time for a new door, my drivers door is far beyond repair! I've been looking around and have seen this before.

Anybody have experience of buying from here?

I think they are ok to deal with actually based in my experiences.

However, I have a door in my shed you can have for a £25 cancer research donation (made by you) plus postage at cost.

Thanks both, that's really helpful. I'm going to ask this question a different way, just to see what kind of response I get.

The other reason for changing the door is because it doesn't sit right on the car. I'm pretty sure the only panel that has been changed is the front wing. I think its had a knock but been repaired in the past, the door shuts nicely too. However, the door sits slightly proud of the rear pannel at the back of the door and the shut line is closer at the front. This, along with a number of jobs is something I'm looking at as I want to use the car when I get married next May and I'd like it looking as good as I can get it. Having said that, as weddings aren't cheap I've got a very limited budget!

The lacquer on the roof is bubbling up a bit, there is a bit of corrosion on the front above the windscreen, the back of the rear arches are poor and the welded seams above the number plate are bubbling up a bit. There's some surface rust in places and some stone chips. I have a budget of about £600 Max to get the car as good as I can get it looking. I'm not after a perfect job (though nothing less than TLC will do!) as I'm not planning on selling any time soon so can revisit the work as and when for a more thorough job.

The door is number one on the list but any help, guidance, tips would be most welcome. On the car that is...not the wedding or marriage thanks!! [:D]

I'd suggest sorting the hanging of the door, maybe the catch or lock can be moved to pull the back of the door in.
It could be if the wing has been changed the mounting for the door could have moved, again that can be adjusted.
Neither should require a new door.

Hmm, that sounds hopeful. It needs to be changed regardless, the thing is corroding all along the outer skin along the bottom and has made a start on the inner skin too! Basically, it's b#####ed! []

I've had another offer that I'm going to for as it's local and I've bought a couple of parts from him before. I now feel very bad about a donation as it's a great offer! So, anything remaining from my £600 budget will go to cancer research! Can't say fairer than that!

Anybody want to offer any help?! [:D]
