New engine for WUF ?

I've decided that 2.5 litres just isn't enough for WUF. Or those girly 3.2 conversions ... so ....

Just got an e-mail about Autosport show 2010 and found this will be on the Porsche Cars GB stand ...

Clicky !

"6.0 Litre 4 Cylinder"

Ok, Ok, so it's an error in the press release but just thinking that if fitted I could re-decal WUF from an 944GT to an ... 944GT3-R-Turbo

What do you all think ??

Either they've done a sneaky edit on that article, or you've lost it.

I'm voting on the latter. [:D]

They've corrected it now ... Shame...

No

Ben bought it the only one made as soon as he saw it so they have had to revert to the usual 6 cylinders

The 200mph 944 dream lives on

I was gutted to see the April RWYB is going to be on a Saturday as otherwise I'd be there, I quite fancy a run or two although traction is my major problem for this sort of thing (I was overtaken by a taxi people carrier in the wet the other day, I nearly wet myself laughing!). I see a 3.2L is attending, it that you Paul?

Santapod is famously the worst 1/4 mile strip for traction. With a 50/50 distribution its not going to be about who's got the most power but who's got the smoothest throttle pedal/delivery! My money's on Paul.. unless the 928 is an auto.

p.s. looked at the 6.0 GTR but it didn't have enough scoops[;)]

Yup [:)]

For some reason they want me to go up against the 1000bhp 928 []
Is there any evidence, anywhere, that that 928 has any where near 1000bhp?

(Evidence, not substance-induced hype from a certain 'character' known in these circles.)

Good luck Paul [:D] I'll do everything I can to come along but it's probably not very likely.
I think you'll have better traction (having seen the youtube vids of the 928) and if I were a betting person I'd have a few quid on you [:D] Are you and he running similar tyres?

How is this '1000bhp' achieved? Does the car run on bullsh*t? Is it owned by the biggest Porsche-owning-gobsh*te-tool Ive EVER come across?

If so youll win quite easily... [:D]

Simon,

You've been around Porsches for a while. I expect you have met some pretty distinctive chaps who own examples of the brand.

You may well have met this one.

Yes, it it thus-powered.

And I think your sentiments as to who will carry the victors' crown probably mirror mine ...
