New floor mats

I'm after some new floor mats for my S2.

I want some decent ones, perhaps with 'Porsche' embroidered on them?

Does anyone have any recommendations - can you still get them from OPC?

I bought a set a couple of years ago so I would hazard a guess they still are, certainly worth a phone call.

I've just ordered a set from Ultimate mats...they do various grades...I ordered the highest plus a rubber heal section. I went for plain black with black stitching' , there is a choice of colours and stitch colours too....you can also add text. This company was recommended to me...should have them early next week.....I'll pass on what i think once they have arrived if it helps..

I had a set of the premier mats from Autostyle for well over 10 years and they were fantastic. Very plush and very hard wearing.

I replaced them with a set of genuine Porsche ones a couple of years ago and I was very disappointed, they don't fit as well, aren't as thick pile and already look a bit worn [&o]

I can see that I'll be replacing them with Autostyle within a couple of years.

Porsche still sell black ones, not sure about other colours.

I even managed to get a set of LHD Black ones from them a couple of weeks ago []

Carmats2u were good to deal with when I bought mats for the Merc. I bought their Platinum mats, which includes receiving some templates and small carpet sample for you to approve before the mats are manufactured. Handy if you need any mods to a standard mat or a really neat fit. They did me a boot carpet too, made to my own template.

Platinum is the deepest pile and is exceedingly hard wearing. In retrospect, i should have bought a lower grade carpet. This is so tough it started wearing the leather on the heels of my right shoes through. I'm not kidding. Later I fitted a small stainless plate to the position of my heel and its ok now.

i promised to pass on my views on the carpets that i had on order from ultimate mats....now I have never had tailor made mats before having always made use of the standard type mats available out there so I may be overwhelmed more than most but I have to say that i am very pleased with these.
I chose black with black stitching and rubber heal pad, they fit the car beautifully and thus i am very pleased with them, I chose the heaviest in their range but iirc they have 3 types priced accordingly.. I took a picture of the drivers side front and rear pair....they look a little grey in the picture due to the sunlight but they are jet black.
