Hi all,

I've added faqs and technical forums in the 997 Members-Only area above. Can you tell me whether they show up yet? Go to the members-only area and they should be in their own box. Hopefully non-members can't see any of the members-only sub-forums! [&:]

Strange, I've obviously got the settings wrong somewhere as I can see them both in the 997 members only area. I'll have to ask Anthony to check it. [&o]

Now we have to find something to put in them! How about "Which 997 is best?" in the FAQ's for starters![;)] Oh, and there's a "how to fit front grilles" thread by Clive (and others previously) which is very good.[;)]

Yes, time for some house keeping Alan/Gary - moving old threads into these new folders. I have quite a few howto posts over the years - suspension, pedals, removing back seats, fitting grill mesh, etc

There's a thread by Gary on removal of headlamps and changeover for foreign roads. Also posting photos on the forum by Alex.

Regards,

Clive

Indeed yes Alex. Finding them is another matter though given the not so excellent search facility.[;)] Are threads "wiped" after a year, does anyone know? The search only covers this period.

Many thanks for doing that Paul..
Yes a bit of house keeping to do, after I've done a bit of work for the day [:(]

It is in themembers only area, so that it is a benefit of being a club member.

okellyt has some useful posts on mods for C2's too.
How about new car first impressions eg. bobfair on GT3, lancerlot and jbm on GT2 etc. etc.?
Happy to help if you need it.
Regards,
Clive.

Probably need everyone's personal car reviews in the FAQ section?

Some threads to move to the Technical area:

http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=334203

http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=402396

http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=435533 (I need to fix the image links first)

Porsche Post article? http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/fb.asp?m=458354 (again, I need to fix images)

...I will keep looking for more...

ADMINS - is there a way of changing the default view (for everyone) of Display topics from last: 'All Topics' instead of only listing posts with updates in the last 30 days?

This would keep FAQ and Technical forums populated when you first enter - without having to pin them.

Alex
All moved, if you can fix the links please...

I'll be making them all stickies, so they shouldn't drop off...

Hi Alex

I have had a look around to see if I can change the 30 days listing but I cannot see any references to be able to do anything with the setting. Mind you I may have missed it!!!

In the Admin area there is one section called the Database Manager that I do not have the elevated privelages to. It may well be the place to do these changes. Only the IT Director has access and if he sees this thread he may shed some light.

Pinning the articles works for the 996 section ok and I have just seen a pinned post there for 2006 without having to reset the date etc. So really its not such a big problem - i hope!

Is it also possible to do this for the Boxster forums? Thanks in advance.
