my fuel return pipe had to be cut to remove the tank is it ok for me to use fuel rubber pipe from the cut to a new fitment for the tank or do i need to replace the whole pipe from tank to back of the engine if the pipe needs replacing is it easy or a difficult job, seems the pipe goes into the floor somewhere do i just pull it out once it has been disconnected[;)]

If is a 911 Carrera 3.2 - its not an easy job - there's 4 in total pipes - 2 made from hard plastic and 2 running up along side the gearbox made from steel - both the supplies and returns join as they leave the tunnel just forward of the gearbox and usually you need to replace the entire pipes from the the tank to the fuel filter because they rust solid and are very difficult to split - also access due to the throttle, clutch and heater cables being in the same place. I've done it once with the engine/box in place and never again. The pipes enter the tunnel just above the steering rack. To get the pipes through the tunnel you need to remove the handbrake and gearstick and the rear transmission coupling cover - good luck and be prepared for skint knuckle's.
