New GTS - a class above Vantage or Merc GT63!

By any criteria the GTS seems the sensible or logical choice. But the heart tugs a bit towards the Aston. (Not that I am likely to be in the market for either.) I know which one I would look at in a car park.

The older ones ain’t too bad either - I overlooked many 911 shaped options before getting mine.

I've not driven the new vantage but had the outgoing model for a week or so while the DBX was in having some work done. It was certainly more of an event to drive the vantage and the suspension was much more forgiving but the agility of the 4GTS is night and day in comparison.

I would say the Aston turns far more heads than the GTS though and makes a better sound - be interesting to have a go in the new vantage to see how it compares.

As John mentioned, I also had a demonstration drive in the new Vantage at Gaydon last August, it was my first drive in an Aston, and was very impressed, however it is quite a wide car, and you really feel the extra size compared to the 992, its raw power makes it all feel like a very British beast and it is a stunning looking car which certainly turns heads. But, as a car to drive regularly, the 992 is a great all rounder.
