hi folks thought id best say hiya since my car is currently on a transporter on its way to me,

a white 1989 2.7lux previously owned by a daniel bates if anyone knows him or if hes on this forum

this is my weekend car and my first porsche, my everyday car is a mitsubishi FTO gpx,,i know its not gonna be quite as fast as my FTO but there is something iv always liked about the 944 and seeing as im now 25(cheaper insurance lol) i thought i would treat myself and what better way than a porsche,my girlfriends dad has an f reg 911 carrera 3.2 so we have already had a few discussions about one another's car's he wins on speed and looks but i think its safe to assume im winning on the handling and build quality ( going by reviews anyway lol)

anyway hope to see yous around

Hi Stuart, welcome to the fold. I've never driven a 2.7 but a few weeks ago I was frantically bidding on any 2.7 engine or really cheap scruffy car on Ebay just so I could use the block.

Look forward to seeing you at one of our events, I'll be the one with the spanners eyeing up your block [:D]

Finally after 4 days waiting on the transporter. . its arrived!! :D

Its amazing what you can get from Maplin these days! Is it radio controlled?[:D][:D][:D]

Just joking Stu, nice car, you'll enjoy it.

Welcome Stu, what a fine choice of gearbox...judging the marketplace a nice one is rare and yours certainly looks great, there are a few people actively looking for good ones out there. Great car, enjoy it.

Haha sounds familiar; I received some serious threats when I raised the subject of getting a 2nd Porsche (which happened to be my Turbo). The only issue being that I had already bought it! Solution - just didn't mention it for 6 months (hint - this probably wouldn't work if you cohabit).

Anyway, welcome to the fold - have fun!

yup,,howd you know that??

Yes, how did you know that?

Looks like a nice car. You wouldn't like a Turbo, they are very expensive. I wish we still had our Lux [:(] (as well as Beaky [:-]).

Ahhh lol

Cheers guys, shes great :)

Does anyone have any info on the car as it seems a member must have had it at one stage. There's a sticker on the window.
