Hi All,

I have recently rejoined PCGB after a few years away, so anyone who remembers me please say Hi...I still have the same 944 Lux Auto Zermatt silver 1986 with a mere 176,000 miles done, I was previously known as Keith SCZ on a forum named after a sunken ship, don't know if it's PC to mention the Forum name here? Also was on this forum regularly. I still have my home in Sussex where some of you came for a run-out to Brighton on several occasions, but have semi-retired to Dorset.

I would like to hear from anyone who was about, at that time, about 6 years ago, on either of the forums?

Say Hi,

Kind regards,

Keith W. SCZ.

Hi Keith,

Now the email based forum "Titanic" is no longer around, I doubt anyone here will complain about it being mentioned, I think it sank really slowly and over time just about every member from the titanic mailing list came here and some of them are still here.

Off the top of my head, I think Paul Smith, Paul McNulty, John Sims, Jim Tarrant and of course Tref, are a few off the top of my head which can still be seen around this forum. :)

For everyone elses benefit, Titanic used to be a Porsche mailing list, like a forum, just based on email where everyone was distributed responses to emails before forums took off. And I feel a little responsible for reminiscing with Keith about the old Titanic days, along with who we still know of and who has vanished.

So I will put my hand up and say "I was there" on the Titanic list, who was at the 944 cam belt seminar I did back in 2003 arranged on the Titanic list?

Who else is still here and a previous Titanic member?

As fas as I know Titanic is still around although only in name really as there's little activity these days, every now and then someone says something and we get the emails, iirc last time was a few months back, or is it years?.....:) Anyway I'm still around, I was one of the early members back in late 90's and still am as I never actually left, so some are still on the list and say hi from time to time.

regards

Pete

Oh my lord, I need to try and remember my old email address password, it probably has years of archived Titanic chat still filling it up with "Is anyone there???" lol

Certainly years since I got anything from Titanic, but they were wonderful days. 100-plus emails a day to delete, lmao!

Thinking off the top of my head, I'm still in touch with Sims, Cannell, Cromwell, JMG, Promax, Fen, Smiffy, PSH, Jim: probably a good few more. It was eleven years ago when I joined as a newbie. :)

Oh, and welcome back Keith! Nearly forgot your post in the wave of nostalgia, but of course we remember you. Hope to catch up at one of the events as there are too few autos coming out to play now!

Hi All,

Great to be back and looking forward to joining in!
For your interest (hopefully) SCZ has been in my garage on SORN for 4 years, and is now undergoing a bit of renovation, so I will let you know how we go. She was one of the last Auto Lux built(nearly 30 yrs ago) and has the original factory Audi 3 speed auto gearbox, last time I checked there were about just about 6 left in the UK with the Zermatt Silver finish. So far she has a new MOT with some sill welding, sticky front brakes, and windscreen washer not working, now all fixed. She has the notorious hot start problem, the DME is new(ish) so we are on with fuel pressure regulator, and fuel lines, I do believe the fuel pump is also new(ish) but it maybe the check valve...
Anyway, I will update you, but pretty sure we will be fit for a "Run Out" in the new year,

Speak soon,

Keith.

Hi Keith,

I'm another one from the old Titanic days.....in fact I still have a rather faded laminated logo in my rear offside window. I do remember you and SCZ from one of the Brighton outings.Trying to remember who else was there....certainly Messrs Sims, Smith and I think McNulters and Christopher Ralph maybe Rick and Fen too. There was another chap with a nice black Turbo with early offset Fuchs [8D].....Phil Rowley? Haven't been to a meet for ages, so a jaunt in the New year would be fun.

Best Regards,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Great to hear from you, Wow! Looking forward to a run out too, SCZ is having a minor op at the mo, but we'll be up for a new run out early next year, probably Bournemouth way as I don't want to stress her out too much after her ops...did you go to Morgan wales in them days, I think Fen, Rick, John et al went? Where's Fen, is he on here, long time no speak..

thanks loads for the post, it is kind of strange being back after a few years, and not knowing who is here and what's gone on...

Speak soon,

Keith SCZ.

P.S. That old sticker...could we re-invent that with Rick, just for old times?

Hi Keith, welcome back.

I used to have admin rights on the Titanic server. I will see if I can still logon and surprise everyone with an email [:D]

Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! I was part of Titanic as well! [:)]

I joined about 10 years ago, when I first bought my S2. Pretty much my first memory after signing up was a mass outrage over a supplier doing things they shouldn't have done. I won't name the company but there was a big falling out between them and Fen, and a lot of people resigned from the mailing list on the strength of it.

Hi Oli,
Remember your name well from the ship, thanks for the post, don't think I remember the falling over board you mention, there have been one or two gangplanks over the years, heyho, glad to be back wearing life jacket:ROFLMAO:

Scz at doctors, back for the New Year and some meets?

Kr,

Keith Scz (now theartstrust) ((same car, new name [s3]))

Thaats's not fair, free gifts? and I never got one![&o] Still got the 944 driving CD we all made, though...[:)]
SCZ is back from Dr Jons' (JMG) with new fuel pressure reg, fuel pump check valve, recalib on airflow meter, and reset of the idle valve adaptor...running lovely and even starts on request! More works and updates to follow...

Soon be ready for a run out if anyone is about in the next couple of months...

Keith SCZ.
