New Member and my car

Hello all!

I joined up about a month or so ago and thought it about time that I get some pictures up of the old girl!

It's a 1990 C4 with a 119k on the clock. Has a replacement engine which has a straight pipe cat by-pass and a remap (don't know any other details apart from that!). Linen leather with Burgundy piping and is Velvet red!

Suspension and some nice wheels are high on my list that is for sure! I managed to get around to laying the first layer of AG HD this afternoon so hopefully a few more layers and she will sparkle!

Thanks for all of the kind comments! I think there are only a small handful of these colour combinations kicking around!

Lovely motor.........I'd buy that if I was looking for a 964!

...........you want some 17" Cup 1 or Cup 2 wheels to make it truly authentic (I think you've got 18" 993 Turbo wheels which were not available on the 964 and may not give you the best ride.......however, I stand to be corrected by the 964 community if I'm wrong)

That is a beautiful colour and the one I wanted but nothing around like that when i was looking, I have grown to love my Baltic blue colour now though.

I'm a big fan of Baltic Blue! I'm sure it gets better the more I drive it! Going to being my daily drive after being a weekend car for 11 years must be doing it wonders!

Targa Man, Sorry I completely forgot to respond to your post! How rude! I have 17 replicas on her at the moment and as much as I don't really like them, They do have good, healthy tyres on them and cant really justify spending any more on her at the moment.

Always quite liked the met red colour - was tempted by a 993 in it before I decided a 964 was the way to go.

It was this car back in 2005 that put me onto it..........

Spent the day giving the old girl a clean, Few layers of AG HD Wax along with having the wheels off to give them a clean, polish and layer of Rimwax. Loving it more and more and funnily enough I'm averaging more than 26mpg on my daily commute which is better than I initially thought I would so not all bad!

Quick photo of the finished result!

Congratulations on the buy! Is that the lovely Arena red? Love that colour, so vibrant in the sun.

Any plans with the ownership?

Norm

Welcome Sean,

Would you be happy to submit a couple of photos and a few words for PP?

Much like the other registers, I'd like to try and fill a bit of the 964 space in the magazine.

Cheers,
Amanda

Long time no update!

Well since I have last posted in here, I have had pretty much trouble free motoring!

I have had a new, more modern alarm fitted, No more 90's style Foxguard alarm which would give you a 7 second count down to put the immobiliser key in! Happy!

A Tour to Afghanistan

6k miles

And today, a rolling road!

When I left home this morning with a very clean, but slightly wintery 964

Put her on the rollers

On the way home, just stopping to top up the window washer reservoir (first time since May!)

Time to re-wash her!

Anyways

I put down 292.1 BHP and 256 Lb Ft (370NM I think?) at Surrey Rolling Road.

As far as I am aware, the only mod's I have, are a decat pipe and a "remap" of unknown origin. Pretty pleased with it considering she was running on 95RON and the tappets are a bit "tappety" but she is going to AutoFarm on Monday to sort that out!
