new member looking for help and advice

hello have just got a 1983 944 lux in black have got lots to do on the car but mainly cosmetic engine is a1 i am really stuck on trying to find a replacement dash (square one ) most have seen are for oval shape the one on the car is cracked any help please

They mostly are. It is a common fault with the early dash. Finding an un-cracked one will be a very tricky task, finding an un-cracked one that someone is prepared to part with will be a near impossibility.

Welcome to the forum and to Porsche ownership.....with a little time/effort a cracked dash can be repaired with a suitable filler and then covered...either in a suitable vinyl to match or better still buy one of the leather cover kits...I will be covering my own later this year, I have the kits for dash, centre console and gear gaiter ready to go...mine is an oval dash but the square dash is catered for too....here's a link....you can choose colour for both leather and stitching...

Simon - I don't believe that for a minute..

There is a place in Germany that renovates cracked dashes - very expensive though
 
I will clarify. This is the second time that I have mentioned selling it, or possibly the third. That's all Ive done though.
