Hi everyone,
I am an Engineering Technician by trade but also a big car lover.
I still have a normal road Vectra 3.0, a Celica 2.0 GT Cabriolet, a Mercedes 190E 2.6 and have just purchased
a Boxter S .
The car drives like a dream, I love it and drive with the stereo off to hear that fantastic engine tone.
I had a 944 S but the drive was horrible, the gearbox and transmission were terrible, but this Boxter drives great and I hope to have years of driving it. It has had some paintwork mods which I really like, some people might not like it but see what you think !!!!!

Hi Mark
Welcome to the club and Boxster register.
The 986 is a great car and your paintwork mods are certainly unique.
I hope to meet you at an event soon
Enjoy
Tracy

Have done something similar selling my 944s2 and buying a boxster 987 2.7 what a transformation after driving older classics for the past god knows how long what great cars these boxsters are so modern

Your Boxter looks in fabulous condition. As long as you like the paint mods who cares what others think of your little bumble bee.......... enjoy[:)]

Thanks for all the replies and all good, BONUS!!!
quite expected the insect replies, as when I looked at buying it, people I work with all said " looks like a Bumble Bee"
I really like the colour and I bet there isn't another one that looks like this one, and it's only done 79000 and one year only done 12 miles.
i do need to get it up on a lift and have a good look around underneath and probably do a little wax oiling.
Thanks again Mawbs.....

I too have 4 cars.
I have personalised my other three cars (the Boxster is great just as it is) and I am a great believer in .... "its your car, you do to it whatever floats your boat regardless of what others think".
Purists think cars should be as they they left the factory.
Fine, if that is how they want their cars, no problem.
If you want to mod & tinker your car, be it bodywork or mechanics, no problem.
Wouldn't life be boring if we all did the same in life and to our cars ..........

I sold my 1995 944 Lux and bought an 03 Boxster in June. While I did enjoy driving the 944 it was a little bit underpowered. Loving the Boxster
