After nearly 30 years away, I’m driving a 911 again and back in PCGB. This time, the car's a 2017 991.2 C4S. I’m really enjoying the larger interior compared to my old Boxster, and I haven’t noticed a dramatic difference in power or handling—though it’s certainly a very different machine from my old 911T.

My first drive was from Porsche Centre Bournemouth back home to the Derbyshire Peak District, around 250 miles. I set off under sunshine in Bournemouth and arrived home to ice on the roads. The final stretch—late at night, winding through the frosty Derbyshire hills—was the most exhilarating part of the journey. The four-wheel drive gave me the confidence to drive safely at near-normal speeds, despite the glistening, icy roads.

Needless to say, I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase and can’t wait to get out and explore more in this incredible car.
