Good morning, having just sold my Audi R8 i have purchased a used Cayman S, a 2006 with 1 owner, fpsh and 19000 miles onit, i am looking at booking the car in for some mods to be fitted, a non res Milltek exhaust system that is suposed to give about 8% extra power and a Revo re map at 5% extra, have any others member fitted these and mixed these options?

Thank you & look forward to being a forum member

Hi, methinks we have met before, A1 forum perhaps? [;)] Have you had a look at the Planet9 forum, mostly American subscribers, and there is a lot on there about changing exhausts. Some of the early Milltek ones had a nasty habit of melting the catalyst and blowing it out of the pipes, although I presume this has now been rectified. I toyed with the idea of changing mine, but came to the conclusion that none of them were really worth the effort, and some looked pretty primitive to my eye. Perhaps the best solution is the Carnewal one, which is a modification to the factory silencer along the same lines as the Porsche sport exhaust.

Hi John, yes you are right, i have the A1 TDi too! bought myself a Cayman S for my car tour hobby i do, gastro car tours, have a trip up in the highlands in May and a Euro one planned June. Thanks for the advice, i have today spoken to the Milltek agents in some detail, the problems where all ironed out some time ago, they say i should expect a gain of about 5 to 8%, they have mixed this with the Revo before and had good results so will opt for that, should be done in about 1 weeks time. Sold the R8 Spyder now, still have the R8GT on order and its being built in 4 weeks time but as business is so tough i will just move it on i think, loving the Cayman S though, similar balance and feel to the R8 being mid engine, cheers
