New member saying hello

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello as a new Porsche owner and new member to Porsche GB club.

I recently joined the ranks of Porsche ownership, full filling my childhood dream :)

Two weeks ago I bought a 996 Turbo Cab in Polar silver with Boxster red interior. As you may guess I'm loving the car, so much more than anything I've previously owned. I hope to join some meets and events, although I can't make the April meeting or Anglesey as I'm away on holiday the last two weeks of April. I hope to get the car out on the track to stretch its legs (and my driving), a little more. I've done a few track days in the wifes MX5 so not a complete track virgin but the turbo will be a different ball game I'm sure. I also enjoy runs out, driving tours etc, did quite a lot with MB club (my previous car), and still take part in MX5 club events and runs.

I look forward to meeting you all in the future and ogling your cars :)

Best regards
Pete

Hello and welcome.

Shame you can't make the April events, club nights are always the third Wednesday of each month at Garstang and we are a friendly bunch!

Your car sounds nice, don't think we have a turbo cab amongst us and its always nice to see something different.

Hi Pete

Welcome to R18.

When I get your contact details from Cornbury House I will be sending you a full events calendar for 2013, and will add you to my monthly e-mail contact list.

I look forward to meeting you at some of our events.

Regards

Hi Pete,
Sounds a great car... Good choice.. Look forward to meeting you at a monthly meet soon [;)]

Thanks for the welcome all, I took the hardtop off today as my bag arrived yesterday. Just off out for another spin :)
