Hi Everyone, especially in R14[:D]

I would just like to say hello to you all. I've just bought my first Porshe, it's a 2001 Boxster S in seal grey that's done about 48k and seems to be in excellent condition, had it checked and serviced at Porsche in Cardiff before collection and they reported no issues with the car. As you guys will guess I'm really thrilled at the moment and very much looking forward to coming along to one of the regions meetings.
best wishes

JJ

Hi JJ, welcome to the ride of your life.... I'm quite new as well having just purchased my first Porsche in December last year. Apart from the snow keeping it off the road its been amazing. I'm sure with your roof down the summer will be amazing.... Contact Ian Foster in the R14 to be put on the mailing list for R14 events, Ian emails them to the R14 members list. Meet some of the members at the recent meeting in February, I think the next meet will be in Carmarthen area in April but again Ian can update you. Enjoy and welcome and I'm sure we will meet at an event soon.
Regards

Hi JoJo

Great colour car....and great fun car....hope to meet you some time.....are you doing the Usk ride and fly?

Hi Farmer.

I know nothing about the ride and fly event I'm afraid, is it being run by another region? Sean was good enough to send me the R14 events list but it's not on there. How old's your car by the way, it would be good to compare notes with someone who has the same year/model. [:D]

Cheers

JJ

Hi,

Welcome and congrats on the car. I too am not aware of the Usk event may be something outside the R14 calender.

Good events and great people. Christmas bash is one for your calender, not to be missed.

Cardiff OPC are also a good Centre compared to some of the threads I have read about others.

We are blessed in Wales to have such great driving roads especially the A470 all the way to Llandudno. Excellent roads around Brecon too.

Look forward to meeting you and the car!

Cheers Alan.

Hi Alan [:D]

Well I don't know how I missed that I must have been blind, I think all the polishing I've done on the car since I've had it has affected my eyesight!

Gave it (I'm still resisting calling it 'her') a spin on the road between Llangynidr and Beaufort last night, though only short it gives you that mountain road feeling. Good time of year to do it as most of the sheep are down lambing so you don't get any of the stupid sods wandering about the tarmac in search of salt! And the road is wide enough for two proper lanes and seems in good condition.

Cheers

JJ

Hi JJ

Mines a 2001 (Y) solid as a rock on the roads at all speeds. Done 96k still sweet as a nut but then it is a 3.2 with full service history.

Driving it plenty at the moment to enjoy this weather.

The Fly drive is mentioned in this areas forum, check out the other posts.

Catch you soon hopefully.

[:D]

Hi Farmer
My car is 2001, it would be nice to see them parked side by side and be able to swap ideas. I'm going to try to get to this ride and fly thing in Usk perhaps I'll catch you there [:D]

Can't make it to the Drive Fly......hope you all have fun and enjoy the dry weather.....catch you soon JJ..
