I just bought a 1999 Boxster, yesterday and joined the Forum today.
Life is so exciting [:)]
The car is immac. except for a well worn gear shift gaiter, which I would like to replace.
Seems easy to replace - but how do you get the gear knob off?
Does one buy a new gaiter from Porsche dealer or another source?

Unclip the gaiter all around, and then "just" pull the knob off. Usually, it takes quite a bit of a tug.

Edit: Depending on the colour of the gaiter/knob, they vary from £56 to £133 (inc VAT) for your model year, from an OPC.
