Hi all,

Pick up my new addition to the fleet today, an 07 997 Carrera S with all the trimmings.

It's my second 911 (Previously owning a 996 C4S in 2007) and can't wait to get going again...

I will post pictures later, but the spec is as follows :

Carerra S in Red
Manual
Aero Kit
switchable Sports Exhaust
Sports seats in black
Cruise control
Chrono
PCM (SAT & PHONE)
BOSE
Park Assist
19" Carrera Sport alloys
Mulit-function steering wheel...

Can anybody give me any pointers on things to look out for on the 997 Carerra S, any inherent faults etc?

Many thanks

RABC

Hi Simon, Welcome to the forum and congratulations of your new car! Best colour by far![:)] Hope you will also look at joining PCGB - the 997 register is a very active a sociable bunch!

Nice spec [:)] not sure about the colour though [;)] we all know Grey is quicker [;)] Only thing to look out for is the coil packs possibly, otherwise they are mainly a very reliable motor ... there are some that have other issues but few and far between I'd suggest. garyw

RABC Welcome Take no notice of Gary or Doug only listen to Alan who is quite correct the only colour is Red, the aerokit shows you have that little bit of exclusivity and the sports exhaust just completes the package. Let us see some piccys when you can and come and join us on some events. Geoff O' by the way Alan was just showing off with his picture

I'm staying on a private pitch. Basically we know a guy who has a property in the middle of the track. He has about an acre of land around his house which he pitches 20-30 tents and provides food and copious amounts of Alcohol. RABC
