New monthly meeting venue?

I have been told the Novello is closing. That can't come as much of a surprise to anyone as it never seems to do much trade. This will obviously force a change of venue but to where?

You are quite correct I recived advance notice from a fellow member who got the news in his capacity as a member of the Corvette owners club. I have emailed most of the regulars, but decided not to post here until after our last meeting to avoid confusion, but now it has been mentioned, we will meet as usual at the Novello on the 7th of Sept then migrate to the new venue, which is already in hand, for a try out in October, but not until October. The October issue of Porsche Post should have the information in more detail, and I will also post them here AFTER our last meeting at the Novello. I am guilty of speed reading myself so on that basis I did not mention anything that could have been misunderstood. For similar reasons, I wil not be altering the regional page in the club's website until after the last meeting either. Twenty four places for our traditional Christmas gathering has already been, and I might say hastily, rebooked for the 14th Dec at the Sun and Stars at least for 2014, so everything is under control.

The venue for the October meeting is given in the latest copy of Porsche Post (my copy arrived yesterday). It's the Peacock Farm pub in Bracknell, details here:

John hasn't given it a lot of publicity on the forum, I suspect because it now appears that The Novello is not actually closing, just undergoing a change of management. So, having announced a new venue in Porsche Post we will be sticking with that for October and then possibly returning to The Novello in November. I'm sure John will be along soon to confirm or set me straight.

Cheers

James
