as its reasonably quiet on here, thought I would mention my new rear boxes, removed the lightweight fabrikat ray cup mufflers and replaced with 'Tubi' competition mufflers, they are beautifully manufactured in high grade stainless steel, all tig welded and polished,
the sound is slightly crisper than the techarts, and what an orchestral sound[:D] love them !!

Steve, any chance of a sound clip ??
Any idea of the db reading...are trackdays a thing of the past?

Did you post this on rennlist originally?......Just wondered when they stopped being exhaust boxes? [:D]

Guess working on the Caterpillar plant for a living the word ' muffler' is the norm,
I do have a dcb meter and will do a test at some point, the techart cup mufflers were around 100 dcb, these I suspect are slightly
louder and tend to backfire and crackle more on the over run which does startle the unsuspecting pedestrian !
I will try and do a soundbite for you Paul [;)]

Would be interesting to hear,,,I have heard the ones on Silver7's car and they sound great,. If the new ones are even louder/deeper, it would be good to compare. Cheers.

Interestingly Silver 7 has very similar set up as me, he is running the cargraphic headers with heat exchangers and the 100 cell race cats ( all teflon coated) although his exhaust boxes are the quiet german tuv approved type, I have the cargraphic headers with the 100 cell race cats, but louder competition tubi boxes & techart turbo tail pipes, all non teflon coated though, Julians set up will be somewhat quieter than mine which is down to the cargraphic v Tubi rear boxes and possibly teflon coated ? perhaps.

So that's why you're not doing Oulton next year Steve.........[;)]

Try here Paul:

Cheers Melv, surely it will sound better on an RS though? [:)]

The vid looked familiar you must go past Maranello's on a daily basis?

Steve, S7 told me where he got his from, which is where I got the basis for comparison...so is Tubi the only way to go now?....trackdays aside obviously.

Steve, get the sound clip up! Mine are ceramic coated which I think deadens the metal somewhat, but mine are only 101-103 db depending on which track are testing. I have some additional tailpipe silencers to take it to 98db for bedford etc. Now I hear titanium is the way to go for 'clubsport' lightness!

Great crackle on lift off

....I did enjoy the idling when warmed up a, little more raspy sounding would be absolutely perfect
