new Number plate.

That' s cool....
Was going to buy me and Keith private plates
H2KRJ
H2NTJ

But neither of us have cars that they wil go on, the Megane already has a private plate!

Will you have it on the boxter in time for Eynsham?

yes it' s on it now!!!

it was ment to be L4 HSG ( as i got Larry, H4 LFG a few years ago.) but he couldn' t get it.

Larry thinks that if you say L1 with a french accent it sounds like Helen. UUUMMM he never was much good at french even when he lived there.

Used to have a french girl by the name of Helen work for me. she always signed her emails as :

L N

(geddit?)

I did that, I have P4 PWF on the Boxster and I bought P4 MTF for my dearly beloved' s birthday last year, looks great in the drive parked side by side!

Interestingly, one of these reg transfer companies sent me a mail shot asking if I wanted to buy the wifes number for 500 smackers, I checked on the DVLA web site and found they hadn' t even bought it yet so I did at exactly half the price!!!

I was offered a number by a similar company for £500, again available on the DVLA site for £250. I rang them up and asked them to explain how their offer was " good value" . They couldn' t answer [:D]

I have M9OSE on my car and M3OSE on the bike, both are supposed to read MOOSE if you squint and look through the bottom of a bottle. I got stopped on the M25 a couple of weeks ago on the bike and fined £30 for having an undersize plate on the bike. Haven' t they got anything better do etc etc...... [8|]

At the risk of incurring the moderators wrath, I' ll place my faith in their hands on the grounds that this is funny and true.

Bike and truck racer, Steve Parish, has the number plate PEN 15 on his Mercedes. Don' t complain to me, the DVLA issued it !

For 10 points, can anyone quote the ......ahem...." actress" Fiona Richmond' s numberplate ? I understand she was quite famous in the 1970' s.

that makes me mad when my next door neighbours boyfriend drives around in a black Rover (M879 WVT)with a tax disc that is over a year out of date.!!!! i reported it the local police about 6 months ago but nothing has been done.[][][]

Apparently the police no longer prosecute for having no tax disc. They now pass on the information to the DVLA for them to act. This applies even if you get booked for document problems at an accident. The offence of not having a tax disc does not even get listed on the ploice standard menu for offences. This infomation was gained from local plod in Kent last week.

Anyone know anything about the EU Tags plates being advertised, I fancy having them to give the car a more authentic ' European' look are they legal in the UK anyone fitted them and had problems?

My understanding is that if the car is registered here, then it has to have a UK style plate.
Similarly if you move here and plan to be resident, then within a certain period (maybe 12 months?) you have to register it with the DVLA. So tourists and those here to work temporarily do not need to worry.

I saw the advert as well and wondered who it might apply to. I guess it is for those people on 3, 6 or 9 month work assignments here who damage their current plate and need a replacement one, or one for the trailer.

Correct plate but I don' t know about the car. I think that combination would be a bit OTT

extra points are on offer if you can post a photo of the car [;)]

Brian,

Piccie of the car can be found at http://www.cybertech-systems.tcs-ltd.net/Cars.htm
only it hasn' t got the famous plate on it in the pics.

Have you got through all that shandy yet?

Rich
