New number plates

I need a new set. I want "show plates" to keep the font correct but I'd like copies of my originals with the dealer script as it was. The last place I used a few years back did that for me but I'm struggling now.
Anyone suggest anywhere?
Thanks

Strongly recommend DMB graphics:

Recreated the original plates based on artwork/photos I supplied.

Remember that the rear plate should fill the are between the rear lamps. Another detail that seems to be slipping from collective memory.

Whenever I mention this it usually prompts arguments, but I assure you that OPCs wouldn't supply any other style of rear plate and all new cars came with them.

Simon,
Do you mean a bit like rover 75 and old P5s fit the whole aperture?
Not sure I've ever seen one like that

Do you have a photo or happen to know the dimensions of these please Simon? I need to put new plates on mine and it would be nice to have the original style.
Thanks.

The only thing I can find is this

there are a couple of fuzzy images.

I don't, but any long-standing OPC should know. I have an original plate with a cherished number on it somewhere, but I have no idea where. If you find some period road tests youll see that the cars all have them - of course this only shows the style and not the exact dimensions.

Unfortunately, its another fact that's become lost.

Amusingly (for me) I have that magazine under my desk and I looked at it before replying. As you can see the SE has the correct plates but the pictures are too small, even when youre looking at the actual magazine, to be of any real help.

I'm 99% sure I have the original rear plate for my car from 1989. It has the AFN Chiswick logo on it which is where the car was purchased. The rear plate is wider than standard (545mm) but narrower than the spacing between the rear lights.

However... I do have some press photos of my car, plus a silver S2 from a 1989 issue of Porsche Post. No photos of the back of my car, but the silver car has a rear shot and that clearly shows the rear plate (THE 944S) filling the gap between the lights!

So I say go with whatever you prefer. I think the 545mm width does look best!

I just make my own. I have a sign cutter machine. And a stack of blank plates.

My MOT man had to get his tape measure out on my wifes plates and I have the letters 2mm too big but it's not trying to change the letters it's just a standard plate.
I've not tried to make the small letters for a name at the bottom but I can't see it being an issue. I will have to have a try in the summer when I get 5
