New OPC Glasgow.

Anyone know when it's due to open and if we can wrangle an invite for a wee PCGB evening look-see? I think it might be a fun event for us.

It must be soon, the big red PORSCHE has been illuminated for some weeks now. Apparently they sent out mailings last year promising to invite "customers" along (so I probably don't count)[&:].

Good idea for a club event.

Basically, I'm just utterly nosey, but aye, drove past a week or so ago and it was really coming along.

Have had a word... there going to organise an eve esp for us once things settle down ... but i would think they will be a few invited to the opening + theres a few new launches coming out this year so maybe get some invites to them G

as Miss Kim says we have an open night in edinburgh opc coming up and i am speaking to glasgow about one at theirs,

the open night will be mainly for existing customers etc of opc in bearsden

details to follow

regards
scott.

Just north of the M8 as you drive from the airport to the Clyde tunnel. It's very obvious at night now the big red sign is lit up. I guess it's some where near x-Scape

its just round the Corner from Audi (heaading towards Braehead centre,)
I spoke to the guys in Bearsden recently and they recon its not far away, time wise

Last I heard it was the end of March/start of april. It's going to be low key but a bigger do when the Panamera is launched.

So does that make 2 in Glasgow now, Glenvarigill and this new one?

I don't think they will keep the one in Bearsden - too small a place. They should be able to sell for a good price being where it is.

Hmm wonder if someones business case for the new OPC was based on getting £X for the land at Bearsden about a year or so ago which is now worth possibly 25%? less

That would be a minor disaster but I would have thought that that would be the business plan and it would allow them to enlarge their premise as land must be a lot cheaper in Hillington.

Harry

We need 2 OPC in Glasgow as the demand is so great for Porsches in the west with the economy booming [:D][:D][:D][:D]
Glenvaragil sold out to the Syntner group some years ago they have one in Edinburgh and one in Glasgow the one in Glasgow has always been way to small and in the wrong location the money they have spend on refurbing over the years would have built a city centre location showroom with the sale of the site for flats...not now as Dougie has said
