Hi All,

I am now the very proud owner of a 01 Boxster S. Years of waiting and it's all come true. Having owned it for the past 15 days and 5 hours this is the first time I have been out of it t get on the forum!!

So here are the questions......

Do boxsters sounds a litle bit ticky / tappitty when idle-ing...especially from the drivers side vent?
Any tips on how to clean/protect the leather on the dash?
How realiable do people find the oil level indicator on the dash?
Light convertion - to clear indicator lenses all round - any body know how much and can I do it myself or best leave it to a OPC?

Thanks in advance guys....

Only when starting but it depends on what you are used to.

Use a decent leather cleaner or balsam - anything expensive [8D]

How realiable do people find the oil level indicator on the dash? It's very accurate you just need to ensure the car is on level ground.

Dead easy - A one spanner job ( a screwdriver actually).

Not that your counting [;)]

What colour of Boxster is it? If it's Guards Red or Speed Yellow I wouldn't bother bother changing your lights as I don't think they look any better with clear lenses.

If you've come from a reliable saloon then you can expect to hear a lot more engine noise and all sorts of tapping and whiring (techincal terms). As you've got an '01 you'll have a plastic rear screen so you also get the added ambient noise aswell.

Enjoy!

Thanks to all.

Tony, yes come out of a V6 4Motion Golf, which obviousley has the engine up front! so I am hearing all types of things that I hadn't before.

It is Artic Silver with full red leather interior and crested sports seats, the colour combo I have always wanted.....I love this car!

.....just waiting for home time now so I can drive it!
