New owner introduction

Hello all,

After looking around for a few weeks I bought my first Porsche 944 today in Northern Ireland. My brother drove it and having owned two 944s in the past, was very impressed with how the car drove so I am looking forward to bringing it back home to London in two weeks time.

I have a few jobs that I was going to have done on my return and I would be grateful if anyone had any suggestions on where to have the work done locally (Richmond, London).

There is a small amount of rust in the arches and there has been a repair job done on the sills that I am not happy with. I would like to have the arches fixed and new sills welded in and painted in one go. There is also a bit of rust around the number plate lights. The condition of these panels is not bad enough to stop the car being used but I would like to get the body right from the start if I can.

The car has 108k miles on it and I would like to have a timing belt done to to be sure.

I also have a few smaller issues that I can work away on myself and I believe to be quite common:
The windscreen wipers aren't very solid.. motors move well but there's play in the joints.
There is a bit of water getting into the car from the drains on the targa roof. I will clean the pipes and make sure that they are connected.
The rear wiper makes a lot of noise. Hoping that I can service the motor but not the end of the world if I need a new one.
The passenger side window does not go down. I hope to take the door card out and see if its getting power and replace the switch or regulator depending.

Thanks for reading and hoping to attend an event soon!
