Hi Guys

I have a 2.7 2001 Boxser, which will now sadly pass to my wife, I have just bought a 1998 996 coupe, silver....of course, there is a big difference between the 2 I noticed on the test drive, my Boxster has been fantastic, I was wondering if any of you had any tips on owning, driving, etc

Thanks guys

Welcome to 996 ownership :) There is lots of info on this site, just spend a little time going through some of the posts. Cheers,

I would also add, if it's not a daily drive make sure that you drive the discs out after washing before you put it away in the garage. This will help prevent corrosion on the inside faces which leads to vibration and disc replacement. Keep on top of the interior and exterior cleaning it saves a big job or expense further down the line. Get involved in your local region its great fun and you meet some great people. I found it helpful to acrue cash on a monthly basis. Sooner or later you will need to have work done and whoever you use it won't be cheap, putting money aside offsets this effect. If you don't need to that's great. Most of all enjoy the car, they are meant to be driven and are fantastic machines. Last but not least if you get the chance drive the Nurburgring [:D]or as a cheaper alternative The Wester Ross coastal road in Scotland,do it !![:D]they are both fantastic pieces of tarmac. Welcome to Porschership

Thanks Guys, All good stuff, I will post some pics up, really happy, as is my wife with her Boxster!
