I have finally sold my 993 and bought a 996 c4s. The car is lovely and, of course, quite different.
Couple of initial questions, the switchable sports exhaust seems to have failed and will not revert to normal. Could this be a fuse - I wouldnt even know where the fuse box is yet?
The other slightly irritating thing I noticed is two drill holes above the rear bumper where the previous owner had attached a speed camera blocking device (very strange). Above it, however, is a couple of quite wide holes under the lip of the bodywork. Was this something to do with this gizmo or is it something to do with the rear park assist? I hope this makes sense.
Any comments welcome please.
Many thanks
Seb

Welcome Seb! Someone may have disabled the PSE, as some like it loud all the time. It may have the relay removed, or the vacuum valve or tubes disconnected. Default position of the valves is open. Can't help with the holes, but do you mean large holes in the PU near the number plate lights? No idea what they would be for. A photo might help.

It was working so I don't think it has been disabled. Trying to upload image but having technical difficulties!!

Looks like its worked! Its the larger hole near the top

I'm pretty sure the larger holes are non-original too. Deffo nothing to do with Park Assist. What a bodge - I understand why you find it irritating, it would bug me too.
