Ive just taken ownership of my first porsche this weekend and just thought i would say Hi to everybody.

996 Blue with cream leather interior and in immaculate condition, manual, electric seats, looks gorgeous

sounds lovely can't wait to see, we have a meeting at The Coopers Arms Weston-on-Trent on Monday 7th November in the upstairs conference rooms. from 7.30pm.

usually about 40-50 of us meet up for a chat, swop information and make plans for future get togeathers its very informal and friendly

Are new comers made welcome or does everybody tend to stay in their own little groups that they have made.

we tend to all mingle (hate the small elite group thing) so it does tend to be very friendly. though please don't be shy in introducing yourself as at the moment we have quite a few new members who are all a bit shy and unsure as to who is who..I have noticed we are getting a lot of other halves coming to the meetings which is great as it does tend to open up the conversation away from 100% cars.
we have a right mix of ages from 17-81, and also im happy to say a real mix of the whole range of Porsches including a few serious racers [8D]. theres always someone there to help solve a car related problem or answer question on your model of porsche.

I'll make myself know to everyone and will do my best to introduce people to each other (though im afraid im terrable with names) and their cars. i'll also be giving out information on future events.

Ive just taken ownership of my first porsche this weekend and just thought i would say Hi to everybody.

You take delivery of your first Porsche and then get to know the car. They get you on the 'hook' and you're converted to all things Porsche, but especially the 911 lineage.

However the car is only part of the total experience. There are thousands of like minded Porsche owners out there with a wealth of knowledge, use it to your advantage. Such matters as motor insurance, tyre types, tyre pressures, Zymol wax, Richard Longs Pink trousers,WOTY's, specialist garages, then there's.... funny noises that could lead to sleepless nights.....until someone confirms "oh, they all do that".

There are the social events, track days (drive, ride as a passenger or just spectate). Only prerequisite is that you bring your enthusiasm along with you.

Most of us can even remember back to our first Porsche (I can't remember what I had for breakfast but I can remember my first Porsche!). It's really nice to hear from new owners, just to remind us what it was like back at day 1. So please report back on how the car err... 'floats-yer-boat', or not...as the case may be.:ROFLMAO:

Ive read the reviews etc but can you really tell the difference between zymol and any other good wax

eer no in all honesty.. but what i will say is that we find Zymol is easier and nicer to use and the finish lasts such a long time..
im just about to try the Swissol range as a comparison i'll be reporting my finding.
