New Porsche Classic Register

Yours is not the only classic that will not be on the register Martin, for an ordinary "oil service" or low mileage service I'll use my local indie and only look to a specialist when belts or similar need attention!!

Leeds opc sent me a letter saying I had been put on the classic register which came with a hardback class spares book, i use Strasse and my car has never been to Any opc in the last 7 years anyway! Have you had certificates of authenticity done?

No mention of washes or stickers, the book, what i remember has spare part numbers, I might have to rummage it out and have a proper look ??

The book has available spare parts and numbers, club sport steering wheels, even engine blocks, no prices though!!

i have the prices, having a fully functioning PET parts system, I can assure you most of them make you pull a strange face and break out in a sweat

It's not just the current prices that make you break out in a sweat, it's the way the prices have escalated. For example, I bought a new NS indicator and driving light for my coupe in 1999-2000 for £214 for the pair. Try the current price - the driving light is I believe over £400, and the indicator colse to £200.

that Chris was 17 years ago...............................................

so just inflation would make a huge price increase.
Driving Light 944 631 034 00 £460.88
Indicator 944 631 052 00 £99.50

Hi GUYS WHATS ALL THIS ABOUT THE REGISTER, IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF PCGB YOU AUTOMATICALLY BECOME A 968 REGISTER MEMBER . AND PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE TRANSAXLE EVENT SAT 4TH AUGUST - VENUE GOODWOOD RACE CIRCUIT AND ITS FREE to all transaxle drivers!!! RGDS kEN cOAD 968 reg sec

Its a completely different register, its the Porsche Classic Car Register, with Porsche GB

you are required to take your car into a Porsche Center and have an Oil service before they will include your car,

https://www.porsche.com/u...vice/classic/register/

Also
we have changed the date for our 968 get together, as PCGB have now taken over our august meet,

5th of May at Goodwood, all welcome, and I wont now be bothering with the August meet

Someone please show Ken how to unlock the caps lock key on his keyboard - it's rude to shout!!

I have also looked at the Porsche Classic Register, and declined. Like PCGB, Porsche GB seem to be intent on making it more and more difficult and expensive for those of us that have pre 1996 cars and like the engine at the front. In 20+ years of Porsche ownership I have never had any urge to buy a hairdryer!

And, like Martin, we will be at Goodwood this Saturday, but not in August.

Sorry Ken, it's too far south for me and in the middle of my family holidays.
