New purchase

Hi all

Yesterday was an especially fine day as I returned to Porsche ownership after a couple of years lay off. Will load up some pictures at the weekend.

First impressions are of a very very capable machine, if in some ways quite understated (compared to 3.2 Carrera and 964 previously owned). I can see the appeal of sports exhausts to give a little bit more flavour to the engine note, but funds won't allow just at the moment!

What a great week to pick up a new car - dry, sunny, perfect. And I've been able to use it for more than three hours without it looking like it hasn't been washed for a month, unlike the rest of this winter.

So, in summary, [:D]

Cheers

Martin

Excellent - well done - a great way to start Spring. Look forward to the pics later. Seems everyone is buying 996's this week!

very nice martin...many happy hours there methinks[:D] quicker than a silver one but not as quick as a blue one eh richard?!! [;)]

Well, there's an old saying round these parts: "There be nowt s' quick as a blaaaaaack noyne elevern". Maybe the blue ones are quicker up north. [:D]

Thanks all. Will put some more pics up at the weekend if I get time. Initial plans are to give the interior a good going over, mainly to clean and feed the front seats which are showing a bit of wear for their 60k miles. First 'project' will be a sports exhaust of some sort. Other than that I'm hoping all will be well for a while, as just had service, discs, pads and tyres all round, front suspension top mounts and new radiators. But you never know...

Sooooo...... going to confess the final purchase price?? Either in public or PM confidential?? I'm genuinly interested as I can't decide on a "sensible" price for mine!!! Ahhhhhh....... Robert (are you about? .. comments on exhaust please .. lol) ... So wrightune £300. ish .. sports exhaust?? That is where I would/will be heading for a nice burble!
