New rear hatch seal - but still big leaks ?

Any advice on what to check out next?
I replaced the seals the weekend before last as the rear hatch was leaking, but after the downpour yesterday, there's clearly still some major leakage.
What is the next thing to try?

Well my 944 leaks like all over, probably an option when ordered[:D]

See if the sun roof drainage holes are blocked, if you don't have the dreaded sun roof, could be the drainage from the petrol housing, theres a small hole there to drain water or petrol. It runs a pipe down through the inside of the wing and down along the rear footwell/storage cpmpartment. Or could be the rear quarter window seal.

My rear quarter window seal, sunroof and something else which have not yet found, LEAK[&o]

Where is the water - rear light seals are another possible inlet and the boot catches should have drainage tubes from them (well on 44's they do).

OK, the source of the dripping (at least the major leakage) seems to be through the wiper mechanism on the back.

Is this a problem anyone has encountered and is it easily fixed?

The water drips in at an alarming rate (or so I watched it do so in the torrential rain this weekend) but it then channels along through the back and down into the passenger side rear seat, so that too is now very wet.

This leaking option we all ordered ought to have more written about it ... Paul, can we put it in the FAQ section, I will post if and when I find out what exactly has caused my leak and what eventually fixes it.

Same problem with my rear wiper i used Silicone Sealer. Take off the wiper machanism box and seal the rod part that goes through the glass. Also remove the wiper then the black plastic cover and seal that to, and the metal large ring. Do it with a peace of plastic to get it smooth and should fine.

WOW !!!

I think I have found the source of at least one more of the leaks, but not sure whether it's a fix or replace.

Where the little drainage hole is through the near-side spoiler, it drains theoretically through the spoiler and onto the floor right ?

Wrong, because the rubber is split just beneath it which allows it to conveniently seep (at quite a rate!) into the rear hatch. This then channels its way forward through the rear hatch like a pretty little stream and into the near side rear passenger seat which means sitting in that results in a very wet bottom.

Now, how can I fix this rubber seal if at all (it is torn along the edge where it fits onto the actual hatch, or is it an integral part of the spoiler (which it seems to be on inspection in poor light) and I'll have to replace the entire spoiler and fit a new one, which sounds expensive?

Help please, I really think this is the majority of the current leaky problem.

Thats it! You've just solved my water problem, the car water leak problem that is.
Just looking the the rear spoiler now i can see that i have the same problem. Not sure how to tackle this one. If you solve it let me know, vise versa.[;)]

OK, for tonight at least I have put some silicon sealant along the torn bit of rubber. In my case it is just over an inch long (I soooo hope the ladies aren't reading this!!!!) and I think that worst case it will reduce the flow rate into the hatch area.

I also noticed that the lock pin seals were less than perfect, so will replace them at the first opportunity too.

Will post if/when problem is solved.
