No, not another GT3, but a new Register Secretary for the 991 Register. And a Register Assistant too.

It's four years since I wrote my first column in Porsche Post so it seemed an opportune moment to hand over the reins and I'm delighted that Nick West has agreed to take on the role and Barbara Evans has also agreed to become Register Assistant. As most of you regulars on the Forum know, Nick has a long and varied history of Porsche ownership and his current Turbo S is the second 991 he's owned. Barbara, and husband Philip, are 991 [strike]C4S Cabriolet [/strike] edit to new Turbo S owners and have been on recent trips with the Register so she has a good idea how these things run and will be an invaluable resource when organising upcoming events.

As we are at the end of the calendar of events for 2015 (other than the Christmas Party with our 997 friends) it makes sense to allow the new team to get to grips with the role as we look forward to next year.

Lesley and I have enjoyed meeting and making new friends as the Register has grown over the last few years, so thanks for the support. We're not going anywhere either, we'll still be putting our names on the list for future events.

May we be the first to offer our thanks to Peter and Lesley for there hard work over the last three years,
there contribution to getting the 991 register off the ground has to be worthy of a round of aplause ??.
I am sure Nick and Barbera will be worthy succesors ??.

All the best to you both.
Lyn and John

Sorry to hear that you are stepping down Peter, thanks for all of your work during your period as RS.

I look forward to meeting Nick and Barbara

Peter and Lesley
Echoing the posts above. Assuming you still have a 991 and hope to see you both at future 991 events.
Best wishes.

Peter and Lesley
You have both done a first class job to get the 991 register up and running you have a great following with your events full within days.
What more can be said it all speaks for itself well done and good luck to Nick and Barbara may there be many more varied and interesting events.

Geoff and Caroline.

Well after what was an absolutely fantastic European Tour, it's sad to see you step down , I have only been a member since early 2013 but every 991 trip you have organised has been brilliant. However knowing the background to the last trip, The European Tour, I know that with Nick and Barbara taking over the reins we are assured of more Swiss trips accompanied by Aussie humour, an excellent combination..??

Thank you Peter and Lesley for everything.
Adrian

Oh, yes, can't get rid of us that easily [:D]

Well, I have to say I'm not surprised to hear this Peter, especially after some of the conversations on the recent tour of Europe.

I would like to add my and Laura's thanks to both you and Lesley for your unstinting support of the 991 Register. To start it off, build it into an award winner and finish in such style is down to a huge amount of dedication and hard work by both of you. As they say in sporting circles "best to go out at the top". I'd like to add my sincere thanks to those already expressed for a job very well done. You have set such a high benchmark for Nick and Barbara!

Having been with them both on the recent "sojourn" I am very confident that the register will continue to go forward and prosper under their leadership. Can't wait to see the 2016 schedule.

Best of luck Peter & Lesley and Laura and I look forward to catching up with you very soon

Hi Peter,
Only a recent member to the register, but want to also add my thanks for all your hard work and effort.
When I made contact to join, your welcome and introduction was first class.

I have just opened the forum, just want to thank both of you and Lesley to make us welcome to the forum and for your hard work. I am glad we will be able to meet you and further events.

Huw & Carol

What can I say after such a great start to the life of the 991 register. Many thanks Peter and Lesley for all your hard work in running all things 991 and for the fabulous events that you have laid on. On a personal note, thank you also for making me so welcome on the first event of yours I attended, the Welsh weekend. The climax without a doubt was the European tour which was a fitting event to go out on and the memory will last for a long time. Well done you two, you are a hard act to follow.

I have little doubt that Nick and Barbara will rise to the occasion as your successors and I look forward to seeing what 2016 will bring. Having witnessed their input in recent times I'm sure the register is in safe hands. Best of luck to you both.

Hi Peter and Lesley, sorry to see you have finally passed the roll on, you have done so much in starting and driving the register forward. The 997 register was always going to be a hard act to follow but you succeeded, a fact that you should both be proud of.
At least it will be in good hands with Nick now at the helm and with an assistant to help as well, best wishes to Nick and Barbara for the future, ( 2 Turbo’s lead the 997 ).
Sorry we won’t be with you for a few months ( about 18 ish ), the 4s is awaiting sale ready for the new one, still a Porsche but not a 911.

Pete - great job, well done. Shame to see you leave your role. Looking forward to catching up with you and Leslie on a 991 register event soon.

Nick, Barbara good luck:ROFLMAO:
