New SC Owner

Greetings,

I've been a regular visitor to this forum for some time and thought that I'd introduce myself as I've just purchased my first Porsche. My name is Ashley Webb and I'm from New Zealand. My car is a 1982 911 SC Sport that was delivered new in the UK through Motortune Limited in London. The car was brought to New Zealand in 1998 with only 33,440 miles on the clock and has now reading only 38,560 miles. I also have a complete record of mileage including all Department of Transport Test Certificates in the UK including all service records stamped in the Service Book for work carried out here and in the UK since day one.
The car is equipped with front and rear spoilers, Bilstein suspension, sport seats and I have the original 16 inch Fuch wheels still wearing the original Pirelli P7 tyres. This cars drives like it's still brand new, and is absolutely stunning in every way. I feel very lucky to have found such a gem.
My question is - are the 'Sport' optioned cars considered rare, as I believe they were only available in the UK, and how many where built?.

Many thanks for your help.

Thanks Aldo.
Yes, the car is flawless, definitely the best car I've ever owned.
Unfortunately I've only taken a few photo's since owning the car. Winter is set upon us down here so I'll try and get a few more when the sun comes out.

As already said - would be great to see more pictures - looks a stunner.

The 'extras' on the Sport were the spoilers, Bilsteins and bigger wheels . As you probably have already gathered these three popular upgrades over the standard 911 were available separately elsewhere but were packaged together in what was called the SC Sport for the UK.

Thats a fine lookin car ashley, looks absolutely mint, not even a hint of dirt on the wheel wells, great to see you re appreciating it.

Thank you all for your comments. Liam, as far as the dirt goes, according to the previous owner of twelve years and only 4,000 odd miles the car has never seen rain, in fact it never even had a hose on it since he'd owned it.
Ashley
