New shocks for 996 C4S

morning all,

I am looking to make my C4s more comfortable as at the moment its like driving a hand cart over our bad British roads! The car has just passed 100k and I know from taking it Gravity that its all lowered by 10mm ish. Which isnt a problem persay but gives a mega hard ride.

was looking at Bilstien shocks, any opinions on those or better and if anyone had changed recently and noticed a big difference in ride comfort?

If your spring rates are hard then different types of shocks will only change the damping rate. Did CG not give you recommendations?
My understanding is Bilstein B4 (standard), B6 (upgrade) & B8 (M030 + kit) and beyond that you are in to coil-overs (PSS-10) or similar. Any of these will transform a tired suspension setup and perhaps in your situation B4/B6 may suit your needs.
 
I'd be interested to know the outcome of your mods. I have been looking at the B8 for mine once refresh time comes.
