New Suspension

I'm looking to lower the suspension on my 1990 964 Carrera 2 Targa , there seems to be a multitude of ways to go but which is the best value for money with all things considered.
I've attached an image of the car which shows the current heights.
The car is only in the main for pottering about in on dry sunny days with possible club trips such as Curborough etc, the car has done just 70,000 miles so probable needs more than just springs.
I have had a price off Center Gravity but was wondering what other people would recommend and who to carry out the work.

I would have thought the popular choice of Bilsteins with H&R greens would do nicely for what you want to use it for. Significantly less expensive than my KWV3s. And by having Chris do it, you know it will be done right - new suspension is wasted if it's not set up properly. [:)]

Good luck. Let us know where/what you end up with.

Hi Steve - I can recommend my set-up. I've just fitted Bilsteins & H&R greens, mainly to overcome the SUV look. The car now sits great and its still really smooth and comfortable to drive - virtually no different to before. For me its acheived everything I wanted.

I'm hoping to be at the R13 meet Tuesday, so you can have a look.

Cheers, Lee

Actually....I said go with Billies and greens because the KWV3s are probably an expensive option that Steve doesn't need for what he wants from the car [;)]

SC - Another alternative to the billy / H&R green is the KW V1 - they might even work out better value for money. Some people on Rennlist have them, but they are new - might be worth an email.

SB - note the beauty of post-editing [:)]

I went Bilsteins and mo30 springs. Replaced the bushes in the front lower arms at the same time. + you won't do better than going the Chris at C of G

H&R greens are the progressive ones and highly recommended for road use and occasional track (with Bilsteins or even new 'original' Boge).
I've had two 964s with this setup and it's the best value for money.
Red H&R springs tend to be too hard for the road.
Also worth fitting a strut brace, if not already, especially on a targa or cab.
Rgds,
Jon

Has anyone used or heard reports of Koni FSD suspension kits ?, I can't even find a price for them. Steve
