New Tires - wow!!

I just had a new set of Michelin PS Cups put on today in advance of SPA and I cannot believe what a difference it has made to the way the car drives. Sharper turn in, better ride, quieter, more grip - generally better in all areas.

The old MPSCs were on the car when I bought it and over 2 years (and 10 track days) old - I obviously need to get out on track more so they don't last as long. I am sure that rubber hardens after use, especially if used on track. Same thing happened on my Boxster S, new tyres and geometry and the car was transformed.

Anyone thinking of changing some old tyres, it will be the best money you spend on the car in my opinion.

I have mine coming. Lost in the post unfortunately so I hope they come in time! I head out on Wed for a full weekend with 450 other Porsches. May be a bit busy up Eau Rouge! Hanging around until 24th for another day but my wife has booked all the hotels and paid for them after that so I can't sneek off to the Ring on 26th.

I am going to try 225/45/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rears. I am sure the extra grip will mean faster lap times.
