Hi Folks,
This is my first post, hello to all.
My 996 finally arrived from Ireland last night by trailer - anticipation over!
I think the first thing after it gets its first MOT in ten years (and 5k miles) will be a wheel refurbishment.
Does anyone have any recommendations for wheel refurb in the SW London area?
Cheers
Gavin

Gavin!

That looks the business.

Lepsons in Gillingham are reckoned to be one of the best in the business for wheel refurbs.

Welcome Gavin!

As Richard says Lepsons are very highly regarded.
If you don't want to hand them all your wheels and put your car on axle stands, Chris Weaver at Exel Wheels will come out to you, fit replacement wheels (so you can still use your car) take the wheels to Lepsons get it done and bring them back to you and replace. I've used his services very convenient and very reasonably priced too.

Another benefit of Excel is that, if you fancy trying a different size wheel while your are refurbed, that (so hid adverts say/said) can be arranged! Wish I'd known before I had my 968 16's done, I would love to try her on 17's.

Chris at Excel Wheels provides a great service and can supply tyres at a good price. I was very happy when I used his services

Yes

+1 for Chris he has done 2 sets for me , a real quality finish and a great chap to deal with!

Tom at TDL is very good - a little further out in Wokingham, but if you are having all 4 done he will give you a day price and travel to you in SW London and do the wheels in situ, very competitive in my experience - he does dents and scratches very competently as well.

Welcome Gavin.

I'm based in Ireland/Northern Ireland and my 996 is exactly the same as yours! I had the wheels refurbished with a mid-grey spoke, might want to consider this (as, in my opinion, it transformed the look of the car).

Regards.

Hi Workman, do you have any pictures of the refurb, i'm still planning mine.

Car passed the MOT with zero advisories after a 10 year gap with no MOT or Irish equivalent what a testament to how well they are built!!
